The Coweta County Sheriff’s Office reports that the recent car hopping activity extended beyond Harris Estates & Maple Creek to include the Lake Redwine Subdivision. Public crime reports show that stolen items included cash, gift cards, wallets, purses, sling bags, high-end pouches, Apple AirPods, and a Ruger 9mm pistol. The Sheriff’s Office released the following notification.

The Coweta County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a string of vehicle break-ins that occurred on August 8, 2026, between 4:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. The suspects are believed to have traveled on foot and entered the neighborhood near the blue arrow shown below. The red shape indicates the approximate area where the suspects were observed. The suspects were dressed in all black. One suspect wore distinctive white shoes and a blue latex glove. We are asking residents to review footage from their security cameras during this time frame to determine whether they captured the suspects. We are also working to confirm whether the suspects were on foot. Any footage showing a vehicle loitering or otherwise behaving suspiciously in the area may also be relevant.
