SIGNS

The Board is proposing is to amend the Declaration concerning signs in the neighborhood. The current restriction limits 3 types of signs on a homeowner’s property in Article IV Section 6.

Section 6. Signs.
(a) No signs whatsoever (including but not limited to commercial and similar signs) shall, without the Developer’s prior written approval of plans and specification therefore, be installed, altered, or maintained on any lot, or on any portion of a structure visible from the exterior thereof; except;

(i) such signs as may be required by legal proceedings;
(ii) not more than one “For Sale” or “For Rent” sign, provided that in no event shall any such sign be larger than nine square feet in area;
(iii) directional signs for vehicular or pedestrian safety in accordance with plans and specification approved by the Developer.

(b) Following the consummation of the sale of any lot, the “For Sale” sign located thereon shall be removed immediately.

The Board proposes introducing a fourth exception to permit temporary signs celebrating special occasions like weddings, graduations, and birthdays. This tradition is cherished in our neighborhood, where we take pride in recognizing and honoring these meaningful moments.

(iv) such signs that recognizes the homeowner and their immediate family member’s birthday, wedding, or graduation for a period of six weeks.

We are inviting all homeowners to comment on the proposed changes. Kindly ensure that your comments below remain respectful.

    I agree. As long as the sign is positive in nature I have no issues. Would graduation signs include any type of school related celebrations? A lot of schools do a student of the month sign, or a congratulatory sign when a student makes a school team, or is going to a big competition like state. If not maybe we could consider adding those to the list. Just a thought!
